Timiș County Council restarts administrator selection for ECO SERV

The Timiș County Council is restarting the selection process for two administrator positions at ECO SERV Timiș SRL, the company responsible for managing the Ghizela landfill and the county's waste management system. Out of seven initial applicants, only one met the eligibility requirements and minimum score set by the selection committee.

Alfred Simonis, President of the Timiș County Council, noted that the Agency for Monitoring and Evaluating the Performance of Public Enterprises (AMEPIP) rejected six of the seven submitted files. Simonis described the process as transparent but highlighted that restrictive legal requirements and high expertise demands make it difficult to find qualified candidates.

The council aims to resolve the leadership structure before the mandates of the current provisional administrators expire. The proposed monthly net indemnity for the new administrators is 6,000 lei, though Simonis suggested that increasing this amount might be necessary to attract qualified personnel in the future.
