Timiș County expands transport network and announces school minibus tender

The Timiș County Council has approved the expansion of the ADI Transtimiș Intercommunity Development Association, which manages county-level transport. Twenty-six new municipalities, including the cities of Jimbolia and Recaș, have joined the association following approval from their respective local councils.

This expansion increases the geographic area where ADI Transtimiș can organize public transport services. While membership is confirmed, specific schedules and routes for the new members are yet to be established.

In a separate transport initiative, the Timiș County Council is launching a tender for 25 minibuses dedicated to student transport. The contract, valued at approximately 11.32 million lei excluding VAT, requires the vehicles to be accessible for persons with reduced mobility and include dedicated space for wheelchairs. The procurement process mandates that the first ten vehicles be delivered within 60 days, with the remaining 15 delivered within 180 days.
