Timiș: 13-year-old girl stabs father to save mother from knife attack

In Timiș County, a 13-year-old girl stabbed her father after he attacked her mother with a knife. The incident occurred despite the father being under a court-issued protection order that prohibited him from approaching his wife.

The mother, aged 41, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Timișoara County Hospital via SMURD helicopter. The father was also taken to the same medical facility under police escort.

Authorities noted that while a protection order had been extended by a court until July 2027, the man was not being monitored with an electronic bracelet, which allowed him to reach the residence. The girl is currently being interviewed by police in the presence of a representative from the DGASPC to determine her future care arrangements.
