Timimoun International Short Film Festival to host professional masterclasses

The second edition of the Timimoun International Short Film Festival is scheduled to take place from November 11 to 18. The event will feature six intensive masterclasses designed to provide professional training to young talents from six different wilayas, including Timimoun and its neighboring regions.

Organized through a partnership between the Ministry of Culture and Arts and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education, the program aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Participants will undergo six days of training covering essential filmmaking disciplines, including acting, directing, cinematography, lighting, sound engineering, video editing, and post-production.

The workshops are primarily aimed at trainees from vocational training centers. However, workshops focused on acting and children's film direction will be open to local associations in Timimoun to encourage community involvement. The training program will culminate in the collective production of a short film, allowing participants to apply their newly acquired skills in a practical setting.
