Timișoara Football Film Festival hosts events at new stadium

The Timișoara Football Film Festival (TMFF) is hosting a series of events leading up to its second edition, scheduled for November 5–8, 2026.

One event features a retrospective of Politehnica Timișoara's history, including archival footage and discussions with club legends such as Viorel Vișan, Aurel Șunda, and former goalkeeper Ioan Almășan. The session aims to revisit the club's successes in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, including the 1980 Romanian Cup victory.

Another event will take place at the under-construction Eroii Timișoarei stadium. This gathering includes an extended trailer for the documentary ‘Încă o treaptă’, which follows Politehnica Timișoara's 2025–2026 season and their efforts to promote from Liga III to Liga II under manager Dan Alexa. The full documentary is set to premiere during the festival's closing ceremony.
