Timișoara hosts 96th Annual Visual Arts Salon

The 96th edition of the Annual Visual Arts Salon in Timișoara is being held at the National Museum of Art Timișoara from September 9 to September 30, 2026. Organized by the Timișoara branch of the Union of Plastic Artists of Romania (UAPR), the exhibition features works from 120 artists.

The participants include members of the UAPR Timișoara branch, graduates of art universities, and members of the UAPR Board of Directors. According to Daniela Constantin, president of the UAPR Timișoara branch, the event serves as a reflection of professional visual creation in the region and provides a broader perspective on contemporary visual arts in western Romania.

A jury composed of visual artists, including Daniela Constantin, Gabriel Kelemen, Smaranda Moldovan, Remus Irimescu, and Remus Rotaru, will present awards such as the Primus Inter Pares Prize, the Youth Prize, and the Jury Prize. The exhibition is curated by Daniela Constantin and Nicolae Moldovan.
