Timișoara hosts contemporary dance season and intergenerational art projects

Timișoara is hosting several cultural initiatives focused on dance, art, and community connection throughout late 2026.

The sixth edition of the DINAM contemporary dance season, organized by the Unfold Motion Association, will take place in October. The program features nine contemporary dance and physical theater performances, dance film projections, the ‘Women in the Arts’ conference, and various workshops. The season, themed ‘Different. Together.’, explores topics such as identity, family memory, and the relationship between humanity and technology across multiple venues in the city.

Additionally, the ‘Creative Dialogues Between Generations’ project is running from September 10 to December 6. Managed by the Conscious Living Collective Association in partnership with the Entuziart Association, the initiative uses dance and extended reality (XR) technology to connect seniors, youth, and vulnerable groups. The project includes intergenerational free dance workshops and virtual reality creation sessions using Open Brush to develop 3D works. The initiative is hosted at the Dr. Aurora Heim Center and aims to reduce social isolation through participatory methods.
