Romanian cities host July 2026 summer festivals, concerts and sports events

Constanța will stage a live‑statue show titled “Women of the Great Union” on 19 July, featuring historic Romanian women in period costumes as part of the city’s summer street‑performance series.

Craiova hosts the 12th International Adrian Păunescu Festival from 16‑18 July, offering poetry, music and stage performances at local venues, with free admission.

Polovragi’s “Nedeia” runs 17‑20 July, presenting the National Pastoral Folklore Festival, religious ceremonies, and a “Mărginenilor” fair that includes traditional dances, weddings and community awards.

Timișoara holds a Summer Gig concert on 22 July at the Casa Tineretului, featuring local bands across folk, pop and rock genres, followed by an after‑party. The city will also host a teqball demonstration on 1 August during the City Celebration, promoting the foot‑table sport invented in Hungary.

In Soroca, Moldova, the band Gândul Mâței will perform a free anniversary concert “Friends of the Road – 30 Years” on 31 July at the Citadel Scuar, marking three decades of activity.
