Timișoara to host 29th edition of Balul Speranței charity gala

The 29th edition of the Balul Speranței (Ball of Hope) is scheduled to take place on September 25, 2026, at the Hotel Tresor Le Palais in Timișoara. Organized by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Romania (AFAR) and the ‘Speranța pentru Voi’ Foundation, the event is coordinated by MEP Maria Grapini.

For nearly three decades, this charitable gala has served as a significant solidarity event in the Banat region, bringing together business leaders and donors to raise funds for vulnerable populations. Past initiatives supported by the gala include funding for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, people with disabilities, and the elderly. Notably, the event supported the construction and operation of the ‘Sfânta Maria’ Residential Center for the Elderly in Giroc, a project established to address the lack of specialized care facilities for seniors.
