Timișoara to host exhibition of 69 Pablo Picasso works

The Art Encounters foundation is launching a new exhibition titled ‘Picasso en visite’ in Timișoara, Romania. Running from September 17, 2026, to January 17, 2027, the event features 69 works by Pablo Picasso, including paintings, drawings, engravings, lithographs, and ceramics.

The collection is sourced from the Musée Picasso in Antibes, France. The exhibition focuses on a significant period in the artist's life following a 1946 invitation to work at Grimaldi Castle. The works reflect the Mediterranean light, Greek mythology, and the creative atmosphere of southern France.

To ensure safety and manage visitor flow, access is restricted to specific time slots with a limited number of people allowed per session. Tickets are available online, with various pricing tiers for adults, children, seniors, and families. Free access is provided for children under 8, individuals with disabilities, and on the last Tuesday of every month, subject to availability.
