Timmy Simons reveals failed coaching negotiations with Lommel

Timmy Simons, the current coach of OH Leuven, has revealed that he held discussions on two separate occasions regarding the possibility of becoming the head coach at Lommel SK. Despite these talks, the decision was ultimately made to appoint someone else on both occasions.

Simons noted that the final selection is often made at a higher level within the organization, leaving individual candidates with little influence over the outcome. He expressed that he accepts the situation as a standard part of professional football.

As OH Leuven prepares to face Lommel, Simons anticipates a meaningful reunion with the club where he played from 1998 to 2000. He also expressed his support for Lommel's return to top-level football and noted the efforts of club president Harm van Veldhoven.
