Timo Tjahjanto Miramax action comedy The Burnout martial arts film

Director Timo Tjahjanto is involved in several upcoming film projects. He has been in discussions with martial arts actors Joe Taslim and Andrew Koji for an untitled buddy action film, a project described as being on the filmmaker’s bucket list.

Additionally, Tjahjanto has been tapped to direct an action comedy titled ‘The Burnout’ for Miramax. Written by Tom O’Connor, the film is described as a mix of ‘The Big Lebowski meets Jason Bourne’ and follows a former CIA agent living in Ibiza who is forced back into action.

Tjahjanto’s upcoming work includes ‘The Beekeeper 2’, scheduled for release in January, and an ongoing project for Netflix.
