Timo Tolkki seeks public donations for farewell tour

Timo Tolkki, the former guitarist for the Finnish metal band Stratovarius, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to fund a farewell tour titled ‘I Just Want to Say Goodbye’ planned for 2027. The funds are also intended to cover costs for recording new music related to the tour.

Tolkki and his wife, Dominika Gottová, are currently facing significant financial and health challenges while living in social housing in Finland. Tolkki has previously dealt with bipolar disorder and diabetes, which led to the cancellation of a planned 2025 South American tour and required the use of a wheelchair at one stage.

In addition to the initial goal of raising 2,800 euros for the tour, Tolkki has also requested smaller donations for equipment, specifically a new MacBook for music production and mixing.
