Timon expands TEAtivo program for youth with autism

The city of Timon is expanding its TEAtivo program, an initiative designed to support children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through adaptive sports. Managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Sport and Leisure (Semel), the program currently serves approximately 200 participants.

New registration openings include 40 spots for futsal and 40 spots for capoeira, with activities held at the Francisco Carlos Jansen Gymnasium. Mayor Rafael Brito stated that the program aims to use sport as a tool for inclusion, socialization, and motor development, helping to strengthen the bonds between students, their families, and the community.

Registration is open from August 31 to September 14 and must be completed in person at the Semel headquarters. Required documentation includes identification for both the child and guardian, a medical report, and proof of residence.
