Timothée Chalamet celebrates Knicks championship with custom BAPE sneakers
The New York Knicks captured their first NBA title in 53 years, prompting a series of celebrations that included actor Timothée Chalamet. Chalamet, a well‑known Knicks fan, attended a victory party at the Seville nightclub alongside players such as Jalen Brunson, Karl‑Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby. He was also photographed courtside during Game 5 wearing two one‑of‑a‑kind BAPE STA sneakers made exclusively for him. One pair featured a white, orange and blue colourway matching the Knicks’ home palette, while the other used a black base with blue overlays and orange accents. BAPE’s brand‑partnerships manager Kevin Le confirmed the shoes were custom gifts, not aftermarket modifications, and are not slated for public release. The actor’s presence and the bespoke sneakers added a celebrity‑fashion dimension to the historic win, which was celebrated throughout New York with additional parties and performances by artists such as A$AP Ferg and Fetty Wap.
