Timothy Jock Knight pleads guilty to federal child pornography charges

Timothy Jock Knight, a 45-year-old inmate at Central State Prison in Macon, Georgia, has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of possession of child pornography. Knight, who was already serving a state sentence for attempted child molestation, was found to have thousands of child sexual abuse material files stored on an altered JPay tablet.

The investigation was initiated following a 2021 CyberTip from Instagram regarding an account linked to Knight. A forensic examination of the device recovered by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified 3,410 unique artifacts of child sexual abuse material. Prosecutors also noted that Knight's search history included queries related to the abuse and trafficking of children. Knight faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to 20 years in federal prison.
