Timothy Persoons elected Prince Carnival of Aalst 2027

Timothy Persoons has been named the 73rd Prince Carnival of Aalst for 2027. He secured the title following a competition against candidate Kenny Baele, where both participants performed shows for approximately 2,000 attendees at the Grote Markt.

Persoons’ winning performance featured eight songs, a stylish set, video imagery, and the use of artificial intelligence. His show concluded with the deployment of hundreds of confetti cannons. The event took place despite inclement weather, which impacted the total crowd size compared to previous years.
