Timothy Zahn to write Star Trek graphic novel

Acclaimed science fiction author Timothy Zahn will write his first Star Trek project, an original graphic novel titled ‘Star Trek: Roc’s Egg’. Published by IDW, the work is scheduled for release in October 2027.

Set on the Deep Space 9 station, the story is described as a murder mystery involving a Federation JAG investigation. The plot follows the arrival and apparent destruction of a mysterious artifact known as a ‘Roc’s Egg’, leading to a series of investigations involving secret auctions, wealthy collectors, and dangerous criminals.

Zahn, known for his work on the ‘Star Wars: Thrawn’ trilogy and as a consultant for the Disney+ series ‘Ahsoka’, will collaborate with veteran comic artist Ángel Hernández on the project.
