Timur Khizriev defeats Gabriel Braga via split decision at PFL Chicago

Timur Khizriev maintained his undefeated record by defeating Gabriel Braga via split decision at the PFL event held at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The bout, which served as the co-main event, saw Khizriev improve to 19-0, while Braga moved to 17-4.

The match was closely contested, with two judges scoring the bout 29-28 for Khizriev and the third judge awarding the same score to Braga. The contest marked a significant return for Khizriev following a period of surgery and rehabilitation necessitated by an armed attack in Makhachkala in 2025.

During the fight, Braga utilized stance changes and counter-striking, including a left hook that momentarily shook Khizriev. Khizriev responded with effective combinations and an uppercut that briefly dropped Braga. Despite Braga's efforts to increase aggression in this rematch, the bout remained a narrow victory for the Russian fighter.
