Tina Arena releases career-spanning documentary Unravel Me

Australian pop icon Tina Arena has released a new feature documentary, ‘Tina Arena: Unravel Me’, which explores her 50-year career and personal life. Directed by Adrian Russell Wills, the 86-minute film utilizes archival footage, home movies, and music videos to trace her journey from a child performer on ‘Young Talent Time’ to an international star.

The documentary features Arena providing narration in two distinct roles, representing her identities as both a public icon and a private individual. It covers her early success in Australia, her move to France following the success of ‘The Mark of Zorro’, and the pressures she faced navigating a male-dominated music industry during her rise to fame in the 1990s.

Arena, who also served as an executive producer, describes the film as an opportunity to speak her truth after decades in the public eye. The release follows a period of personal difficulty involving her ex-husband, Ralph Carr, who was recently convicted of rape.
