Tina Arena responds to ex-husband Ralph Carr's rape conviction

Australian singer Tina Arena has addressed the recent conviction of her former husband, Ralph Carr, for rape and sexual assault. Carr, who also uses the name Ralph Carnovale-Carr, was found guilty of two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault following a three-week trial in the County Court of Victoria.

Speaking on Sunrise while promoting her new documentary, ‘Tina Arena, Unravel Me’, Arena expressed that seeing Carr’s name in the headlines again has been difficult. She stated, “That’s been tough. But like I’ve said, you will always reap what you sow.”

Arena praised the victim for her courage in coming forward and urged others to speak out against unacceptable behavior. She encouraged community members to intervene when witnessing concerning conduct, noting that the experience has provided her with fundamental life lessons.
