Tina Arena speaks on ex-husband Ralph Carr's rape conviction

Singer Tina Arena has addressed the recent rape and sexual assault conviction of her ex-husband, Ralph Carr. Speaking at the Melbourne premiere of her documentary, ‘Tina Arena: Unravel Me’, Arena commented on the verdict, stating, “I believe that justice has been done and the right thing has happened.” She also expressed her belief in karma, noting, “You reap what you sow, so now he’s reaping what he sowed.”

Carr, a high-profile entertainment and sports manager who has represented clients such as Dustin Martin and Vanessa Amorosi, was found guilty of one count of sexual assault and two counts of rape. His identity was revealed after a three-year suppression order was lifted by the County Court. Carr is currently awaiting sentencing, though his legal team has indicated plans to appeal the verdict.

Arena, who was married to Carr from 1995 to 1999, noted that she does not know the identity of the victim but praised the woman's courage in coming forward. Arena described the documentary as a way to celebrate her 50-year career while also providing a platform to discuss difficult personal stories.
