Tina Charles to have jersey retired by Connecticut Sun

WNBA legend Tina Charles is being honored by the Connecticut Sun, who will retire her No. 31 jersey at Mohegan Sun Arena on August 25. The ceremony celebrates her career, which includes playing for the Sun from 2010 to 2013 and her deep ties to Connecticut basketball through her time at the University of Connecticut.

In conjunction with her legacy, Charles’ company, 78 Brewing Co., has released SUNSET Hazy IPA. The craft beer is designed to honor the players, fans, and coaches of the Connecticut Sun franchise. The beverage features a citrus-forward profile with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops and utilizes the team’s signature orange and yellow colors in its visual identity.
