Tina Gaber Golob criticized for political attacks over veterinary issues

Tina Gaber Golob has faced criticism for using social media posts regarding injured cats to launch political attacks against the current government of Janez Janša and MP Katja Kokot.

Following stories shared by followers about animals suffering due to a lack of emergency veterinary services, Gaber Golob directed blame toward the administration. However, reports indicate that the veterinary legislation proposed by the Resni.ca party, which is the subject of current criticism, has not yet been passed. The existing legal framework remains the same as it was under the previous administration, with the new amendment scheduled for consideration in the autumn.

Critics, including SDS MP Luka Simonič, have pointed out that the systemic issues being criticized are a result of the current laws rather than the new proposals, suggesting that the political targeting of Janša and Kokot lacks factual verification.
