Tinajo launches second edition of Sabores de Tinajo gastronomic event

The second edition of ‘Sabores de Tinajo’ has launched as part of the San Roque 2026 festivities. The gastronomic initiative, which aims to promote local products, saw all one hundred available spots filled within hours of registration opening.

The inaugural day featured various dishes including pitaya gazpacho, almogrote croquettes with cured cheese, cactus jam with gofio, and goat meat brioche buns. The event also included a session with winemaker Tomás Mesa from Bodega Las Cadenas to explain local production processes.

Organized by the departments of Commerce and the Primary Sector of the Tinajo City Council in collaboration with the ‘Dinamiza Rural’ program of the Government of the Canary Islands, the event will consist of three days of culinary experiences and live cooking demonstrations.
