Music concerts in Vietnam face fan scams and logistical issues

Major music concerts in Vietnam, including 'Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai' (ATVNCG) and 'Tinh Ha Say Hi', have drawn massive crowds, with attendance reaching nearly 50,000 people. Fans have gathered early to participate in activities such as trading merchandise, checking in at sponsor booths, and setting up fan projects despite rainy weather.

However, the events have faced logistical and security challenges. For the ATVNCG concert, over 20 fan clubs and individual fans reported being victims of a scam involving a middleman named M., who allegedly failed to connect them with service agencies for banner and flag projects at The Global City, resulting in losses totaling hundreds of millions of VND. The organizers intervened to support these fan groups.

Additionally, the 'Tinh Ha Say Hi' concert has seen a surge in ticket resale activity following sell-outs. This has led to widespread warnings regarding ticket scams, where buyers reported losing money to fraudulent sellers through invalid QR codes or disappearing after receiving deposits. Authorities and fan groups have advised caution, recommending direct transactions through official platforms.
