Tino Leo presents Hessen history performance in Nidderau

Actor and author Tino Leo delivered a one-man historical performance titled ‘Finding Hessen’ at the Bertha-von-Suttner-Schule in Nidderau. Commissioned by the Hessian State Agency for Civic Education, the 45-minute show aimed to engage ninth-grade students with the complex history of the region.

Leo utilized song, humor, and various character portrayals to cover 2,000 years of history. Key figures and eras depicted included the Germanic and Roman periods, the Middle Ages, the Thirty Years' War, and the arrival of the Huguenots. The performance also addressed Hessen's role in the American Revolutionary War, the 1848/49 Frankfurt Parliament, both World Wars, and the region's strategic position during the Cold War.
