Tião Bocalom proposes bridge to connect Porto Acre and rural villages
Tião Bocalom, a candidate for the governorship of Acre, has proposed the construction of a bridge to connect Porto Acre with the villages of Pia and Caquetá. The proposal was made during a ferry crossing of the Acre River following discussions with local producers regarding the difficulties of transporting agricultural goods.
Bocalom stated that the bridge is a strategic project intended to strengthen family farming by reducing the distance and time required to transport products to Rio Branco. He indicated that, if elected, he would coordinate with federal deputies and senators to secure the necessary resources for the project, noting that previous promises regarding the infrastructure have not been fulfilled.
