pocstock aims to provide brands and technology firms with rights-cleared, culturally informed data while ensuring creators retain ownership and receive fair value for their work. The initiative seeks to address concerns regarding consent, licensing, and cultural representation in the development of AI technologies.

Steve Jones, co-founder and CEO of pocstock, stated the goal is to build a more representative data layer for AI that allows people of color to participate as producers and economic contributors. Harris noted that the investment supports a team working to change the visual landscape and ensure authentic representation. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
