Štip Mayor announces major infrastructure and social development projects
Mayor Ivan Jordanov has presented a series of infrastructure, social, and cultural development projects for the municipality of Štip. The initiatives focus on improving living conditions and supporting the youth through various investments.
Key infrastructure developments include the reconstruction of several streets, such as Pitu Guli, Džemal Bjedić, and Kežovica, as well as the first full reconstruction of Boris Kidrič Street in fifty years. In the Belo Brdo and Levaci neighborhoods, road infrastructure older than 60 years is undergoing complete reconstruction. Additionally, a new road connecting Todor Kolarov and Mirče Acev streets is being built to improve access to the Jane Sandanski secondary school and the new clinical hospital.
To address parking needs, a new three-level garage with a 50-vehicle capacity has been built near the Promaja building, alongside new parking areas in the Prebeg neighborhood and near the Economic Faculty. Social programs include financial support for families of children with disabilities in municipal primary schools, scholarships for students and athletes, and the distribution of free uniforms for students up to the fifth grade. Capital projects currently underway include the construction of a bypass, new water reservoirs, bridge reconstructions over the Bregalnica River, and the creation of a new green belt mega-park.
