Štip water crisis: SDSM criticizes Mayor Jordanov and VMRO-DPMNE

Trajče Stojčevski, president of SDSM, has criticized the local government in Štip following a water shortage during high temperatures. He stated that citizens were left without drinking water because the Zletovica hydro system, the city's primary water source, failed to function due to low rainfall.

Stojčevski blamed the crisis on the incompetence of Mayor Ivan Jordanov and the VMRO-DPMNE party, alleging that local wells which had functioned for over 50 years have been neglected. He further claimed that the administration prioritized a 120 million denar park project over essential water infrastructure. Stojčevski also noted that water safety issues are affecting over 50 settlements across Macedonia.
