Tips for efficient travel packing and wardrobe decluttering

Practical advice is being shared regarding efficient packing for short trips and managing cluttered wardrobes. For weekend travel, experts suggest selecting a small bag and choosing versatile clothing items that can be easily combined, such as neutral tones and items like jeans or jackets, to avoid overpacking.

To save space, rolling clothes instead of folding them is recommended. Travelers are also advised to check weather forecasts and verify what amenities, such as towels or toiletries, are already provided by their accommodation to avoid bringing unnecessary items.

Regarding home organization, experts suggest methods to declutter sentimental or unused clothing. One technique is the ‘five-second rule’, where an individual must quickly decide if they have worn an item recently or plan to wear it soon, preventing overthinking. Additionally, a ‘five-year rule’ suggests that if an item has not been worn in five years without a specific upcoming reason to use it, it should likely be discarded.
