Tirana activists clash with journalist over Flamingo Revolution protests

A verbal dispute has erupted between organizers of the “Flamingo Revolution” protests in Tirana and journalist Flora Xhemani Baba. The conflict began after Xhemani Baba posted a video of activist Sidorela Vatnikaj calling for a march, adding a comment that ironized the organization of the event by comparing the timing to social outings.

Vatnikaj responded by accusing the journalist of spreading negativity and fake news, arguing that the protest schedule remains consistent with previous days. Other activists, including Luçiana Kokaj and Artion Zotkaj, also joined the criticism, suggesting the journalist’s remarks indicated a lack of support for the movement against crime and corruption. Xhemani Baba has since countered these accusations, maintaining her stance in the ongoing social media exchange.
