Tirana and Dinamo City draw 1-1 in controversial derby

Tirana and Dinamo City played to a 1-1 draw during their ninth-week derby match held in Durrës. The match was marked by significant controversy, resulting in more red cards than goals. Four red cards were issued during the game: one for each team on the pitch, and two for the Dinamo technical staff, including coach Ilir Daja.

Dinamo City's Rifas received a red card in the 27th minute, giving Tirana a numerical advantage. Tirana eventually took the lead in the 64th minute through Xhixha, but Dinamo City equalized in the 78th minute via Hoxhallari. The match concluded with another red card for Tirana's Ndong.

Dinamo coach Ilir Daja criticized the match scheduling, noting that the 13:30 kickoff time and the lack of a home stadium for either club impacted the spectacle. Daja also expressed frustration regarding the officiating, specifically citing the appointment of the same referee involved in a previous disciplinary incident involving him.
