The Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana has reviewed prosecutor requests regarding the legality of flagrante delicto arrests made during recent protests. While the court deemed the arrests of 10 individuals under investigation to be legal, it ordered the release of several suspects subject to various security measures.
Specific judicial measures include house arrest for one individual accused of assisting a prisoner in leaving their place of residence and assault on duty. Five other individuals were ordered to report to judicial police on the last Wednesday of every month and were granted immediate release.
