Tirana protests enter 91st day demanding Edi Rama's resignation

Protests in Tirana have entered their 91st day as citizens continue to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a fundamental change to the political system. Demonstrators have been marching from Skanderbeg Square toward the Prime Minister's office, calling for accountability and the establishment of a 12-month transitional government.

Protesters have characterized the movement as a civic revolt against the established political class. During recent marches, slogans included calls for systemic change and the arrest of government officials. Participants have also expressed concerns regarding environmental issues, such as forest fires and river pollution, alongside economic inequality.

A national protest is anticipated for September 12, which organizers expect will include participation from the Albanian diaspora.
