Tirana ranked as Europe's most affordable city for September tourism

Tirana has been ranked as the most affordable European city to visit during the month of September, according to a report featured in Forbes. The assessment is based on a study by the British travel agency Thomas Cook, which analyzed 13 European cities where daily budgets per person remain under 100 euros.

In Tirana, the average daily cost is estimated at approximately 59 euros (68 dollars), covering three-star accommodation, meals, local transport, and cultural attraction entries. Specific costs noted include 32 euros for a three-star hotel per night and 8.50 euros for dinner at an economy restaurant.

The report highlights that while many European destinations are becoming more expensive, Tirana remains a competitive option due to its unique architecture, vibrant cafe culture, and proximity to national parks and the coast. The city is noted for its growing tourism market and the popularity of the Blloku neighborhood, which has transitioned from an elite area to a modern hub of boutiques and cafes.
