Tirana urban development projects aim to reshape city skyline

Tirana is undergoing significant urban transformation through new architectural initiatives, including the 'Tirana Fountain Plaza' project. These developments aim to reshape the city's skyline and landscape.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has described Albania and Tirana as a 'natural university of architecture,' noting that the complexity of high-rise construction provides local professionals with rare opportunities to collaborate with international masters. Rama emphasized that while the country currently lacks the domestic capacity for such complex builds, working alongside global experts will allow Albanian architects to develop the skills necessary to compete on an international level. The projects are driven by private enterprise and supported by state-requested public competitions, featuring various architectural visions to be evaluated by an international jury.
