Tiriac Collection showcases 140 years of automotive history in Bucharest
The Tiriac Collection in Bucharest, owned by entrepreneur Ion Tiriac, showcases a vast array of vehicles spanning 140 years of automotive history. The collection is housed in a large facility near the airport, featuring a distinctive circular main building designed to resemble a tire from above.
The collection currently holds approximately 300 vehicles in its permanent exhibition, with an additional 130 cars undergoing restoration or maintenance in annexes. Tiriac, who has a particular affinity for Mercedes-Benz, possesses 85 models from the brand, including a replica of the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen.
According to automotive expert Andrei Piciorus, the collection continues to expand, with new acquisitions from brands such as Bugatti, Porsche, and Rolls Royce expected later this year.
