Tiro Federal Club celebrates 130 years in Concepción del Uruguay
The Tiro Federal Club of Concepción del Uruguay is celebrating its 130th anniversary. To mark the milestone, the Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay officially recognized the institution for its long-standing contributions to local sports and community life.
Mayor José Eduardo Lauritto met with club leadership, including President Mariano Fagundez and Vice President Augusto Dieci, to honor the club's history. The institution traces its origins back to an 1896 meeting at the “El Porvenir” Popular Library, which led to the constitutive assembly of the “Sociedad de Tiro Uruguay” on August 23 of that year.
Anniversary festivities include the unveiling of commemorative plaques honoring club benefactors, a community gathering, and an institutional shooting competition. Additionally, the city recently hosted the sixth round of the provincial ranking for the Entre Ríos Shooting Federation, featuring competitors across various age categories.
