Tirol government proposes significant increase in parking fees
The state government of Tirol is proposing a significant increase in the maximum allowable parking fees for municipalities. This legislative change, which is currently under review, marks the first adjustment to the Tirol Parking Fee Act since its adoption in 2006.
According to the government's draft, the maximum fee per half-hour would rise from 1.10 euros to 1.60 euros, representing an increase of approximately 45.5 percent. Additionally, the proposal includes a mechanism where the state could implement further fee adjustments via ordinance whenever the CPI shifts by 20 percent.
