Tiromancino energises Lunaria festival in Recanati's Piazza Leopardi

The Italian band Tiromancino played a two‑hour concert in the crowded Piazza Leopardi in Recanati as part of the fifth edition of the Lunaria summer series, organized by Musicultura and the municipality of Recanati. Frontman Federico Zampaglione said the setting was "impossible not to fall prey to the aura of Giacomo Leopardi," describing the historic square as a source of inspiration. The set mixed older hits with songs from their latest album, including "Quando meno me lo aspetto" and new tracks such as "Scomparire nel blues" and "Sto da Dio". Musicians Antonio Marcucci (guitar), Francesco Stoia (bass), Fabio Verdini (piano/keyboards) and Marco Pisanelli (drums) joined Zampaglione, while the audience numbered in the thousands.

The performance also featured a tribute to Franco Califano, with Zampaglione explaining that he had revised one of Califano’s songs, giving it a fresh version later covered by Mina. The concert was described as a vibrant showcase of rock, blues, pop and reggae influences, highlighting Tiromancino’s continued relevance in Italy’s live‑music scene.
