Tirria theater production to perform in Olavarría

The satirical black comedy “Tirria” is scheduled to perform at the Teatro Municipal de Olavarría on October 4. The play, written by Lucas Nine and Nancy Giampaolo and directed by Carlos Branca, stars Diego Capusotto, Rafael Spregelburd, and Andrea Politti.

Set in Argentina between the 1930s and 1940s, the plot follows the Sobrado Alvear family, an aristocratic lineage in decline. To maintain social appearances, the family pretends to travel to Europe every summer while actually remaining hidden in their home with the help of their butler.

Actor Rafael Spregelburd noted that working with Capusotto was an immediate decision and described the comedian as an intuitive and ideal colleague. Spregelburd also observed that Capusotto is using the stage to explore comedic paths different from his established television persona.
