Tirumala attracts massive crowds for Garuda Vahana Seva procession

Thousands of devotees gathered at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple to witness the Garuda Vahana Seva, a major event of the annual Brahmotsavams. During the procession, Lord Malayappa Swamy was carried atop a golden Garuda through the four Mada streets.

To manage the massive influx of pilgrims, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) deployed approximately 2,000 volunteers and 600 employees to oversee crowd management, food distribution, and child tagging. As the 190 designated galleries reached their capacity of 1.8 lakh people, officials allowed devotees to witness the procession from the Mada streets to ensure everyone could participate.

The procession, which began at 6:30 pm, was monitored by TTD officials, police, and vigilance personnel. To facilitate better viewing, the Vahanam was occasionally paused at various junctions, allowing devotees to offer Harathi to the deity.
