Tisza Party faces scrutiny over administration and accountability

The Tisza Party government in Hungary is facing scrutiny regarding its administrative effectiveness and its ability to hold previous officials accountable. Critics have raised concerns about the quality of public administration under Péter Magyar, noting that many ministerial appointments consist of party lawyers rather than experienced civil servants. Out of sixteen ministries, only five have appointed state secretaries with significant administrative experience.

Furthermore, the success of the current political cycle is being tied to the performance of the National Asset Recovery and Asset Protection Office (NVVH). Gábor Török has emphasized that the government must ensure proper accountability for the previous administration to maintain public trust. He warned that if the NVVH fails to deliver results in the coming years, the fundamental purpose of the current political mandate may be called into question.
