Tisza Party MP Tibor Kaprinyák removed from environmental committee

Tibor Kaprinyák, a Member of Parliament for the Tisza Party, has been removed from the Committee for Living Environment following a controversy involving big game hunting. The decision follows an ethical investigation initiated by the party after photographs surfaced showing Kaprinyák posing with hunted animals, including a lion, a Cape buffalo, and an antelope.

Kaprinyák previously served as the vice-chairman of the Committee for Living Environment, a role involving animal welfare oversight. The Tisza Party leadership, following a recommendation from its ethics committee, decided to terminate his membership in the committee. His parliamentary work has been suspended pending further decisions regarding his future roles within the legislature.

László Gajdos, the Minister for Living Environment, addressed the matter by condemning violence against animals while noting that Kaprinyák holds no official position within the ministry. The controversy was brought to the party leadership's attention by Péter Magyar.
