Titan expands into high-end horology with Wandering Meteor
Indian watchmaker Titan is expanding its presence in the high-end mechanical watch market with the introduction of ‘The Wandering Meteor’. This new timepiece features a titanium case and a meteorite dial, utilizing a ‘wandering hours’ complication. Unlike traditional watches, this model lacks hands; instead, it uses mobile elements that rotate around the dial to indicate the time.
This move represents a strategic shift for Titan, which is a dominant force in the Indian market with an annual production of approximately 18 million watches. While historically known for accessible quartz models, the company is increasingly investing in in-house mechanical movements and ambitious designs to attract international collectors.
