Titan SA receives investment grade credit rating upgrade from S&P

S&P Global Ratings has upgraded Titan SA’s long-term credit rating from ‘BB+’ to ‘BBB-’, moving the company into investment grade status. The outlook for the rating remains stable.

The upgrade is attributed to the group’s strong operational performance, low financial leverage, and disciplined financial policies. S&P noted that Titan’s cash flow from operations to debt ratio (FFO/debt) has remained steadily above 45% since 2023, a level consistent with investment grade. While the ratio is expected to dip to 60%-65% by 2026 due to recent acquisitions in the United States, France, and Turkey, it is projected to improve through 2027-2028 as synergies are integrated.

Titan Group CFO Giannis Ioannou stated that reaching investment grade is a milestone reflecting years of financial discipline and continuous debt reduction. The upgrade is expected to expand the company’s access to capital markets, reduce financing costs, and provide greater flexibility for investments in growth and carbon footprint reduction, supporting the ‘Titan Forward 2029’ strategy.
