TITANIQUE musical launches rehearsals in Dutch venues
Rehearsals for the internationally popular parody musical “TITANIQUE” officially began, with the cast and creative team gathering to read the script together for the first time.
The production features Renée van Wegberg as Céline Dion, Calvin Kromheer and Dana van der Geer as the iconic couple Jack and Rose, and a supporting cast that includes Robbert van den Bergh, Naidjim Severina, Cathalijne de Sonnaville, Mark Roy Luykx, Rolf Koster, Liesanne van Dongen, Kim Reizevoort, Thijs Kokke, Lynn Mancel and Eli ter Hart, all accompanied by a live band under director Martin Michel and translator Jeremy Baker.
Creative producer Hans Cornelissen noted that after the success of the original “Titanic” musical, the team acquired the rights to the Off‑Broadway parody, which has earned four Tony nominations, two Olivier Awards and was called “the funniest musical right now” by the New York Post.
The show is scheduled to run from September 2026 through April 2027, touring a long list of Dutch cities including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda, Utrecht, Maastricht, Nieuwe Ginne, Veenendaal, Capelle aan den IJssel, Rijswijk, Beverwijk, Assen, Eindhoven, Hoorn, Gouda, Apeldoorn, Oss, Tilburg, Zoetermeer, Deventer, Zaandam, Spijkenisse, Drachten, Terneuzen, Waalwijk, Roermond, Leeuwarden, Uden, Wageningen, Cuijk and Groningen.
