Tito Flávio paints artistic sail for jangada Suzi in Mucuripe

The traditional jangada Suzi, a fishing vessel in Fortaleza, has been updated with a new artistic sail painted by visual artist Tito Flávio. The artwork features fish illustrations, serving as a tribute to the local fishing community and the traditions of the Mucuripe region.

Captain Irmão Loro, who helms the vessel, collaborated with the artist on the project. The design also incorporates a reference to Psalm 128. The official unveiling took place on Saturday, September 5, attended by local fishermen, family, and Antonio Banqueiro, president of the Mucuripe Fishermen's Association.

Flávio noted that the project allowed for a deep cultural immersion, providing insights into the daily lives and maritime traditions of the jangadeiros.
